QOTW - List 5 Positive Things About Your Life Today

I am a very big fan of the law of attraction which simply states that what you focus on you will get.

If you are feeling sad or depressed or just "down in the dumps", the best advice that I have read is that you should make a list of the things that you are grateful for. Start a gratitude journal so that you can keep a journal of all the things that you are grateful for.

Have you heard of a gratitude rock? It's just a small, simple stone that you can carry around with you - and everytime you touch it you think of something that you are grateful for.

The reasoning for all of this is to get you in a state of gratitude, feeling good about the positive things in your life.

If you are feeling down or depressed this is something that you should try to help you feel better.

Here is my list of 5 positive things about my life today:

  • I am very grateful for my home! I live just outside of Philadelphia, in an area called LaMott and I love my home and where I live!

  • I am also grateful that I am able to work from home. What I love most about being able to work from home is that I can and do make my own hours!

  • I am so grateful for my cat! - LOL! He's a wonderful little furry companion!

  • I am grateful for my health - though I may not be the most healthiest person in the world - still I'm doing good! I know a neighbor who told me that she can't walk for long distances because of her health so that just makes me the much more grateful.

  • As Oprah once suggested - be happy and grateful that you are just able to be able to breathe and be alive!

Are You Still Using A Dial-Up Modem For Your Internet Access?

In a time of fast Internet this and fast Internet that I was wondering if there were still people that are still using dial-up for their internet access?

I ask this question because I know that their are still people out there who are still using older computers and older computer parts.

When I used to frequent the Usenet Newsgroups I was always fascinated by those people that were still using Windows 3.1 so I know that not everyone has the latest in Internet gadgets.

Personally I am using a high-speed USB Internet but I'm always in the market for free Internet access. And I still haven't ruled out the possibility about using dial-up Internet as a backup.

What Was Your Very First Job?

Here's an interesting question I saw online:

What Was Your First Job?

My first job was that of nurse's aide. You see my mother was a nurse and she was working in this nursing home and she got me a job there.

It was just after I graduated high school and it was my first real-paying job. I think that I stayed there for only a year or so and then I moved on to working at a nursing temp agency which I really kind of hated because they would send you everywhere all over the city and they took a big percentage of my paycheck.

Now this was some time ago and the nurse's aide field has changed a lot. I don't even think they call them nurse's aides anymore. Now they are known as CNA's - which I'm thinking means certified nursing assistant.

Fortunately now I'm working from home and I absolutely love it!

So tell us what was your first job?

How Many Cups Of Coffee Do You Drink A Day?

I'm a big fan of tea myself and I drink a lot of it - maybe about 3 cups a day (or more-LOL!) but I have this coffee brewer that I love to make brewed coffee with and I love the smell of brewed coffee and I love the smell that it brings throughout the house. Since I work at home I do so enjoy the luxury of having freshly brewed coffee that I can drink during the day. (Of course if I have to go out I turn the coffee machine off!)

Since I was going to be home all day I decided to brew some coffee and enjoy it throughout the rest of the day. I made about enough for 4 or 5 cups and it was nice and I enjoyed having coffee throughout the day but I found out later on that I couldn[t go to sleep! I kind of tossed and turned and finally just decided to get up and do some work! (Again, I work from home so this is something that I could do - I mean - get up in the middle of the night!)

Had some breakfast at about 3 in the morning! And now I'm at the computer-LOL!

I suspect that this is because of the coffee - more to the point the number of cups of coffee that I had!

I know that there are some people who can't get through the day without at least one cup of coffee - so my question of the week is:

How Many Cups Of Coffee Do You Have A Day?

If you like you can also add why you drink so much (or so little) cups of coffee during the day.
